Poor Landon seems to have fallen victim to the world’s oldest mind control devices. While he was distracted by Summer’s “attributes” he went and landed himself square in the middle of  the “Friend Zone”.

In a funny bit of webcomic coincidence, yesterday’s Pinkerton by the multi-talented Mike Witmer touched on a similar theme. Boobs are a conspiracy to control men’s minds!

At long last, the air conditioning is fixed! And just in time, too. I don’t think Landon could take the heat wave and Summer’s hotness at the same time. when we last saw Summer, she was leaving on a date with Esteban Chupacabra. Surely she didn’t come back to the store just to point at Ed, so why is she here? What does she want? Tune in Thursday to find out.

Welcome back to another Spooky Sketch Sunday! Today I decided to put my own spin on the classic Bride of Frankenstein character. She’s such an iconic character from classic Hollywood horror movies and tons of fun to draw. So much fun in fact that she’s also the subject of my first iPod touch finger painting, in a somewhat different style. I did the picture below using SketchBook Mobile. It’s a heck of a challenge to draw with your finger tip on such a small screen, but I do love a good challenge.

Looks like the AC system had more problems than just a duck in the thermostat! Good thing Abe is there to fix things. Yeah, I named the HVAC repair Yeti “Abe”.

Looks like Landon has had just about all he can take of this heat wave. Luckily the local HVAC repair Yeti is here! I figured, what better monster to repair air conditioners than a Yeti, right?

This week’s Spooky Sketch Sunday is of one of the all time classic monsters of folklore, the Loch Ness Monster! With all the vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and other there is little doubt that good ole Nessie would visit Renfield Square once in a while. I chose to depict Nessie here as a lovely and charming Scottish lass, a sort of giant, aquatic, pre-historic Sheena Easton, if you will.

Welcome to another Spooky Sketch Sunday!

This week’s sketchbook page is my stylized depiction of the infamous Mothman, the mysterious being sighted in Point Pleasant, West Virginia in the mid 60′s. As part of my behind the scenes routine for Spooky Doofus, I often try my hand at drawing various monsters, cryptids, and supernatural beings in an effort to create new citizens of Renfield Square. Sometimes these character designs become full fledged characters, sometimes they show up as a cameo shopper at Dr. Vincent’s.

Clearly the heat is getting to Landon. How much more can this poor werewolf take? Will Landon ever find some small relief from the oppressive heat? Will the heat wave ever end? Will one of Ed’s ridiculous theories turn out to be true? Find out the answers to all these questions and more in the very near future in Spooky Doofus!
