It felt like I just stepped into strange, alien world that somehow felt like a home I never new I belonged in. The uncanny weirdness and undeniable charisma of David Bowie’s alter ego is what I’ve tried to capture in this drawing.

After laying out the pencils, I then inked onto a sheet of vellum placed over the pencils. Final color and shading was added using markers and a little bit of colored pencils for accents. Below I’ve included a couple of shots of this piece in progess that I originally posted last week on Twitter while I was working on it.
